Construction Consultant, Author & Trainer
45+ years in the field. 500+ homes built. Thousands of professionals trained. One comprehensive manual.
Jack Tucker is a nationally recognized construction consultant, author, and trainer. He spent more than 45 years in the construction industry in roles ranging from framer to Superintendent to Director of Construction before retiring in 2025. Over that career he built well over 500 homes and never stopped learning, never stopped teaching.
Throughout those years, Jack quietly compiled something remarkable: detailed notes, field observations, and hard-won lessons — forty exhibits' worth of real-world construction knowledge, organized and preserved so the next generation of superintendents and contractors can build with the confidence that only comes from decades of experience. That archive became the foundation of From Dirt to Move-In.
During his career, Jack developed practical systems to train and mentor superintendents in the field and has trained thousands of professionals nationwide. He authored the NAHB's two-day Advanced CSP Seminar, was a weekly guest on Baltimore's WCBM talk radio show Your Home, Your View answering call-in questions about homebuilding, and has been featured in various publications and on television.
In 2002 he published Tucker's Toolbox: Turn Construction Knowledge into Selling Tools. Now, with From Dirt to Move-In, Jack is sharing the complete field manual he wished he'd had when he started — practical, direct, and built from real experience.
